This past week we did our biannual road cleanup of our section on 54 – A. Thank you to the 16 people that helped out it was a beautiful fall day, and we finished in record time.
This Sunday was the children’s Sabbath- they helped in aspects of the church service. Pastor Jeannine taught the children how to make the word peace in American sign language. She asked the children what peace meant to them. Many of them said- no fighting, no yelling, no hating others. God has his own hand in peace. Everything will be OK. God‘s peace is special and it’s there when things are noisy or not going our way. And no matter what is going on it stays in our hearts. As we live with God‘s peace, it’s important to share it with others. God takes all of our worries and gives us a wonderful sense of peace in return.
The scripture lesson was Philippians 4: 1-9, read by Meridyn Whitford.
Today we prayed over three prayer shawls to give to those facing illness or struggles. One of those was the prayer of Laura Hammond, given to a family member who is having current health concerns.
